"The time is very short, and the choice is very clear. Either we preserve the vitality of this great free enterprise system—our way of life—or we face children some day when they will ask us where we where, and what we were doing, on the day that freedom was lost."
—Ronald Reagan

Since long before America's founding in 1776, our nation has relied on the informed, committed involvement of its citizens to guide its direction and to shape its moral character. This reliance remains no less important today, at a time when civic understanding and active participation in the affairs of state are at an all-time low.

Confusion about truth, moral relativism, differing worldviews, postmodernist thinking, a diminished view of Scripture-all these factors which characterize our common culture at the dawn of the 21st century place a much higher premium on the need for civic involvement by committed, informed, loving Christians in the public square.

For only traditional, Judeo-Christian values hold truthful answers to the questions we face as a state and nation. And only expressions of His love motivate long-term personal and societal change. If you're ready to become involved—or to stay involved—Oklahoma Family Policy Council stands ready to help you to make a positive difference in the lives of people through your caring involvement.

The following OFPC publication can assist you along the way:

The Oklahoma Citizen Magazine

Our flagship magazine, The Oklahoma Citizen, gives readers news they can use about state and national issues and events affecting their homes and families. Often, OFPC-related projects, current initiatives, and events you can attend are featured. Sometimes, real-life examples of Oklahomans making a significant difference in the areas of culture and public policy are highlighted to inspire you.

Our stories and features usually also offer a What You Can Do perspective, so that citizens can link arms together with their like-minded Oklahoma friends and neighbors to influence the direction of history itself in large or small ways as citizen-activists. Don't miss a single issue!
